Settler’s Park

A small voice says something that is indiscernible.

Quantum took four investigators to Settler’s Park in Round Rock, Texas, where it is rumored that apparitions still roam the park though the land around it continues to develop. While the investigation was inconclusive, we captured a couple of interesting sound clips. Utilizing equipment redundancy, we attempted to eliminate all reasonable possibilities that the following clips were the actual voices of the investigators.

Toward the end of the investigation we utilized the extremely controversial “ghost box”. We make no claims as to the validity of the theories surrounding the ghost box, but we did record some interesting clips that we felt warranted further review.

“Listen Dick”

Can you tell me your name? “Dick”

“Dick”

“Dick”

We very clearly hear profanity (the “f” word) in this clip, which is interesting because, obviously, this is a word that is prohibited from being used in public broadcasting.

Since the “ghost box” is nothing more than an AM radio which scans the AM band in a constant loop, it is very rare to hear an entire sentence that spans across frequencies, Thus we found this one very interesting. We hear a female voice say “I’m really desperate”.

“We’re buried”
